Our Peace & Justice team has been supporting Casa Samaritano shelter located in Hidalgo Mexico. As people in Mexico and Central America flee north from violence, extreme poverty, and drought conditions in their countries, they stop at shelters along the route north to get a warm meal, a place to rest a few hours, first aid, and some change of clothing. Casa del Samaritano, (House of the Samaritan), is one such way-station shelter northeast of Mexico City. It is run by four Catholic Sisters of the Sacred Heart. These men, women and children are just trying to find a safe place to live and work. They risk everything, including their lives, to reach our border.
The Bible is at the heart of our Faith and our relationship with God. Scripture informs our beliefs and inspires our devotions. It is the place where our Father meets with us and lovingly speaks to us. Reading the Bible should bring us closer to Christ, but understanding it is often difficult. The good news is that you can understand the Bible, and The Bible Timelinemakes it easy.
The Bible Timeline takes you on a twenty-four-part guided journey through salvation history. Presenter Jeff Cavins shows you how fourteen of the Bible’s narrative books tell the biblical story from beginning to end and gives you the keys to understanding the amazing story woven throughout Scripture.
