Our mother of perpetual help conference
Have you seen the votive candles in the church? The suggested donation to light one of the votive candles is $5. The donations will go to help support our St. Vincent de Paul Conference.

Spirituality, Friendship, Service
These are the three cornerstones of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. If you are interested in serving those in need within our parish boundaries, and putting your faith into action. A little time and a caring heart are all you need.
The fundamental elements of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are Friendship, Spirituality and Service. It is the aim of all Vincentians (members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul) to continually grow in these area. Membership is open to all individuals who desire to help those in need and want to follow the spirit of the founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam and the Vincentian’s patron and namesake, St. Vincent de Paul.
The Our Mother of Perpetual Help Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference provides critical support to the residents within the boundaries of our parish (Oak Park, Ferndale, and Royal Oak Township). Through their hands-on charitable work, they are a vital part of the community, offering food assistance, emergency support and relief services to help enhance the lives of the less fortunate in our area.
We Can't Do It Without You
We're able to make a difference in the lives of so many of our neighbors because of the support we receive from our community. We are neighbors helping neighbors, after all. Join us today.

Annual Report: October 2024 – September 2025
Through your generosity, our parish SVdP Society was able to bring hope and practical help to our neighbors in Oak Park and Ferndale this past year.
• 144 families received assistance with essentials such as rent, utilities, car repairs, and more. All payments are made directly to providers, ensuring needs are verified and met.
• $57,406 was contributed on behalf of our neighbors in need. About half of this support came from other SVdP conferences in Oakland County, partnering with us to extend Christ’s love locally.
Extending Care Beyond Finances
Often, the greatest gift we offer is simply listening and responding with compassion. In addition to financial aid, we provided:
• Vouchers for clothing and household goods from the SVdP store in Madison Heights
• Help with furniture needs
• Guidance to local food banks
In all, 433 people were assisted through these non-monetary resources.
How You Can Share in This Mission?
• Donations may be made through Mass collections (mark your envelope “SVdP”).
• Vigil candle donations also support SVdP.
• We welcome new members! Join us on the first Monday of each month at 7 pm in the Gathering Area.
